Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TidyReads (tidyreads.com), an online service that converts documents and web articles you provide into reading formats (EPUB, PDF and Word). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

2. Your account

You need an account to create books. Provide a valid email address, keep your password secure, and tell us if you believe your account has been misused. One free complete book is offered per person; creating multiple accounts to obtain more free books is not allowed.

3. The service

You upload files or submit links; we extract the text and images, suggest clutter to remove, and typeset a new edition in the formats you choose. Previews are free. Conversion re-flows content and does not reproduce the original design exactly. Scanned pages are recognised automatically and may contain recognition errors. Please check the result against your original before relying on it.

Delivery. TidyReads is a digital service; nothing is shipped. Purchased credits are added to your account immediately after payment is confirmed, and finished books are delivered as downloads in your account (and, if you choose, by email to your Kindle address), usually within minutes of export.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process it, store it temporarily and deliver the output to you (including sending it to a Kindle address you provide). You confirm that you have the right to process the material — for example because you own it, it is licensed to you, or it is publicly available for personal reading. Do not submit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights or contains malware. The service does not remove DRM, bypass paywalls or log in to third-party websites on your behalf.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page before you buy. Payments are processed by PayPal; we never see or store your card details. Credits are consumed only when an export succeeds; failed exports return credits automatically. Book Pack credits do not expire. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

6. Subscriptions

Monthly plans renew automatically each month at the price shown when you subscribed, charged through PayPal, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page (or from your PayPal account). Cancellation stops future payments; your credits for the current paid month remain available until that month ends. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change applies to your subscription.

7. Refunds

Our refund policy explains when you can get your money back. It does not limit any rights you have under consumer law.

8. File retention

Uploaded files, previews and exported books are deleted automatically 48 hours after a project is created. You can delete them earlier from the project page. Please download your books before they expire. See our privacy policy.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to overload, probe or disrupt the service, automate account creation, or use the service to process material you are not entitled to use. We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will refund unused paid credits unless the suspension results from fraud or abuse.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may improve or change features. If we discontinue the service, we will give notice and refund unused paid credits and the unused part of any current subscription period.

11. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects paying customers, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
